Don’t wash your hair every day
Daily shampooing (and conditioning, and blow-drying) is a huge drain on your time, and can actually damage your hair. Stick to a wash every few days and touch it up with dry shampoo in between.
Spray your bobby pins
Before you stick them in, hit those pins with a bit of hair spray. They’ll grip your hair better, which means you won’t have to drop everything and redo your ‘do before you’re ready.
Dry your hair with a t-shirt
This tip is especially great for ladies with curly hair. Instead of a lengthy blow-dry, wrap your hair in an old cotton t-shirt and gently pat it dry. The soft fabric absorbs water without roughing up your hair or damaging those natural curls.
Use leave-in conditioner
Shorten shower times by skipping the rinse-out routine. Just wash quickly, hop out, and rub in some leave-in conditioner. If you have to leave the house before your hair dries, the conditioner in your hair will help prevent it from frizzing as it dries.
Prep while you sleep
You can apply leave-in conditioners and dry shampoo before bed, giving them plenty of time to soak in before you wake up. Bonus: tossing and turning will rub that dry shampoo residue out of your hair, leaving one less thing to do in the morning.
