Our hair takes a lot of heat. There’s the actual heat of styling tools, chemical treatments, sun damage, sweat, dirt, pollution, getting yanked out by bad brushes...the list goes on. With everything seemingly out to get our hair, you’d think we’d all just give up and let the damage happen. We don’t, though, because deep down we recognize what hair care is really about: loving yourself.

It’s easy to think of hair as an accessory, but the truth is, it’s a part of us. Looking after your hair is part of looking after your body, your most valuable possession. And for the most part, the things that are good for your hair are good for the rest of you: drinking lots of water, eating a balanced diet, and limiting your exposure to UV rays, to name a few. Healthy body, healthy hair.

Healthy, happy hair is a sign that you take your self-care seriously. For women especially, hair is a huge part of how we present ourselves, and it’s one of the first things people notice about us. Image isn’t everything, of course, but making a good impression never hurts. Having well-kept hair is a way to tell the world, I respect me, and you should, too.

You can say a lot about yourself without opening your mouth. Just let your hair do the talking! Do you like bright dyes or natural shades? Long layers or angled bobs?
